Pinterest Pick 3

Today I'm linking up with the Inspired Owl's Corner and Pawsitively Teaching for a Pinterest linky party. I'll admit that I have been spending most of my Pinterest browsing time for wedding planning and summer capsule closet planning, but I think I can scrounge up a few things to share here! It's the end of the year and there are lots of fun ideas for how to make it a fun few weeks.

Fun, contemporary back-to-school lesson! Have your students draw "selfies" and describe their summer via text message prompts. Makes for a great bulletin board display!!

To me, this looks like a cool project for the end of the year. It seems like age doesn't matter when it comes to our obsession with Smart Phones, and I know my 2nd graders would get a kick out of this!

I love this - I want to try doing this with my class...it would be a great end of year picture for the kids.

This sweet picture keeps coming up on my feed, and I want to try and remember to get a picture like this! I've started working on my end of the year video, and I think this could make a nice closing shot.

my spring 2015 capsule wardrobe
Remember how I was talking about working on my capsule closet for summer? Well, after having a lot of success with a fall/winter capsule closet, I know I need to try something similar for the summer. It is time to pull out the shorts and dresses, because in Georgia, having jeans as a part of your wardrobe for the summer is just not gonna cut it. I am way too hot natured for that! Anyways, this pin has a nice little explanation of a capsule closet and some ideas about how to get started. I think having a capsule wardrobe is a perfect idea for teachers. What appealed to me about this pin is particular, is that it keeps the neutrals I used in the fall and winter, so even though it's not completely my style, I can use it for some inspiration.

Have fun pinning and counting down the school days!

  1. I love the heart picture as well and I keep saying the same thing- I should do that! If you get to do it, post it, I'd love to see how it comes out.
